The City Administrator indicated <br />that Councilman Toth felt only six spaces on the east side would be necessary <br />for time limit parking. It was the general consensus of the City Council <br />to have the City staff draft a resolution allowing for six spaces on the east <br />side to have limited parking time. <br /> <br />C. Joint Meeting of Rec Board and Planning Commission <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that a joint meeting of the Recreation Board <br />and Planning Commission is scheduled for September 16th. The City Administra- <br />tor further indicated that the joint meeting is scheduled to review a five-year <br />capital improvement plan and a park improvement plan to be submitted with the <br />Lawcon grant application. <br /> <br />D. School Street Improvement <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that due to the rain and the sizable puddle <br />in School Street, the contractors have put a pipe in and left a manhole open <br />for drainage. The City Administrator indicated that the subgrades would be <br />cut on the west side and that Class 5 would be hauled in later in the week. <br /> <br />E. 1983 Budget <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that City staff has been working for the past <br />two weeks on the 1982 year end projections, 1983 budget and also the 1984 <br />budget. The City Administrator indicated that in reviewing the 1983 projections, <br />it was necessary to look ahead to 1984 in order to plan for 1983. The City <br />Administrator indicated that he has reviewed various options the City Council <br />may take regarding the 1983 budget and will be sending out all budget material <br />to the City Council this week. The City Administrator indicated that he felt <br />the City Council has no other choice than to levy the maximum eight percent <br />authorized by the State of Minnesota. It was the consensus of the City Council <br />that the budget meeting dates would be established at the regularly scheduled <br />September 13th meeting date. <br /> <br />F. Main Street Program <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that Councilman Schuldt has requested the <br />authorization to attend the Main Street Minnesota Conference to be held Octo- <br />ber 1st. <br /> <br />MAYOR HINKLE MOVED TO APPROVE COUNCILMAN SCHULDT'S ATTENDENCE AT THE MAIN STREET <br />CONFERENCE TO BE HELD OCTOBER 1ST, 1982. COUNCILMAN DUITSMAN SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />G. DancelandAmusement Device License <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that a letter has been sent to Danceland re- <br />garding the number of mechanical amusement devices they have at their location. <br />
