Mr. Mauer indicated that the report would cost from <br />$10,000 to $12,000 which would be credited back against a water project and further <br />indicated that a draft report would be available in approximately 6 weeks. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN TOTH MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONCEPT OF A COMPREHENSIVE WATER STUDY AND <br />TO AUTHORIZE CONSULTING ENGINEERS DIVERSIFIED TO PROCEED WITH A REPORT. COUNCILMAN <br />SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />10. Final Plat of Brutger Resubdivision and Vacation of Drainage Easement - Public <br />Hearing <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the City Council granted preliminary plat <br />approval to the Brutger Companies for a replat of Lots,S, 6 and 7, Block 1, <br />Ridgewood East 2nd Addition, and further indicated that the Brutger Companies are <br />now asking for final plat approval. The City Administrator further indicated that <br />the Planning Commission considered the Brutger Companies' final plat at their March <br />22ndmeeting and unanimously granted approval. The City Administrator indicated that <br />the final plat shows a 20-foot easement on the north portion of the property which <br />when reviewed by City staff is found to be adequate for the City's utility needs, <br />but at the present time, there is an existing 50-foot drainage easement. The City <br />Administrator recommended that the City Council vacate the existing 50-foot ease- <br />ment on Lots 5, 6, and 7, Block 1 in the Ridgewood East 2nd Addition as the 20-foot <br />easement necessary is shown on the plat. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE FINAL PLAT FOR THE BRUTGER COMPANIES IN <br />RIDGEWOOD EAST SECOND ADDITION. COUNCILMAN TOTH SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE VACATION OF A 50-FOOT DRAINAGE EASEMENT ON <br />THE NORTH PART OF LOTS 5, 6 AND 7, BLOCK 1, RIDGEWOOD EAST SECOND ADDITION. COUNCIL- <br />MAN ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />10~. Purchase of Used Pickup Truck for Sewer Department <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the Sewer Department is requesting approval of <br />the purchase of a 1978 four-wheel. drive pickup truck for $3,400. The City Administra- <br />tor further indicated that the January 1, 1982, fund balance for the Sewer fund is <br />$32,638. The City Administrator indicated that projected revenues for 1982 are ap- <br />proximately $121,000 and projected expenditures of $165,000. The City Administrator <br />further indicated that with the sale of bond certificates for the jet machine and <br />the clarifiers, the projected fund balance at the end of 1982 would be $28,000. <br /> <br />Mr. Darrell Mack, Superintendent of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Facility, indica- <br />ted that at the present time the City does not have a truck capable of pulling the <br />jet machine for cleaning sewers. Mr. Mack further indicated thata.four-wheel drive <br />truck would be an asset to the City in other departments as well. Mr. Mack indicated <br />that he had looked at the truck and that he felt that the truck is in good condition <br />and worth the asking price of $3,400. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN TOTH MOVED TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF A 1978 DODGE FOUR-WHELL DRIVE PICK- <br />UP TRUCK IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,400. COUNCILMAN DUITSMAN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br />
