Parks&Recreation Commission Minutes Page 2 • <br /> December 13,2017 <br /> 5.2 Park Dedication — Miske Meadows Preliminary Plat <br /> Mr.Leeseberg presented his staff report. <br /> Chair Anderson asked what is the size of the property that we can take park dedication? <br /> The land developer stated it is 60 acres. <br /> Chair Anderson said he cannot make the decision without knowing how much land there <br /> is in the development. <br /> Moved by Commissioner Niziolek and seconded by Commissioner Sagan to <br /> recommend to City Council to accept park dedication to be paid in cash at a rate <br /> applicable when the subdivision is released for recording. The amount will be <br /> approximately$411,000. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> 5.3 Park Dedication — Raspberry Ridge Preliminary Plat <br /> Mr. Benoit presented his staff report. <br /> Chair Anderson asked to have an Ariel view of development in the future. <br /> Moved by Commissioner Ahlness and seconded by Commissioner Kallemeyn to <br /> recommend to City Council that park dedication for the plat of Raspberry Ridge be • <br /> paid at the rate applicable when the subdivision is released for recording,which <br /> will equate to approximately$4277.79 in park dedication fees for three parcels <br /> along with recording a 30-foot trail easement along the entire north side of Lot 1. <br /> Motion carried 7-0. <br /> Chair Anderson gave an explanation of what Park Dedication is and how it ties into new <br /> developments.When new developments come to commission we have the option to take <br /> 10%of the land or a percentage of cash dedication per lot. The money is used to develop <br /> parks. <br /> 6. Discussion Items— None <br /> 6.1 Arena Project Update <br /> Commissioner Sagan presented and update.A plan will be presented to city council on <br /> Monday, Dec 18. <br /> Mr. Hecker stated the city hired RJM manager and they have brought in new ideas. <br /> 7.
