While planners typically operate in an <br /> atmosphere of collaboration and consensus building (hopefully), much of it is actually <br /> negotiating. In this session you will learn how to get people and groups to build more effective <br /> solutions through cooperation. Mr. Welchlin will teach us the five reasons why people don't <br /> cooperate, techniques to gain cooperation, five steps in the negotiation process, and <br /> characteristics of effective negotiators.
