Mr. Sevcik shared that Lacrosse,has wanted to move up a tournament with the new lights;and Musko Lighting had'dehverequipment for the lighting project. 9.1 Recreation Manager'S/Update Mr. Benoit presented update of Elk RiverFest.July 7,2018 in downtown Elk River from 4:00 —9:00 p.m. Fireworks will be held that night at 10:00 p.m. Stating the event will feature city services and have many activities that will be held during the event.With a concert at 7:00 p.m. 9.2 Parks Superintendent's Update Mr. Sevcik presented his staff report. Stating that the weather is delaying athletics for outdoor sports at our athletic fields. This will delay the dugout project from finishing up and the he is working with the contractor to have a game plan of finishing the project. Commissioner Holmgren asked when the snow is cleared then how long it is until the ground frost cleared out.
