Request by Elk River Municipal Utilities for Conditional Use Permit to Construct a <br /> Municipal Well and Water Processing Facility, Case No. CU 01-21 <br /> Staff report by Michele McPherson. Elk River Municipal Utilities requests approval of a <br /> conditional use permit to allow construction of a well and water treatment facility. The <br /> facility is proposed to be constructed on a remnant piece of property which the city <br /> purchased for the Twin Lakes Boulevard(Tyler Street) road construction. The 26'x 74' <br /> structure will be located south and east of Twin Lakes Boulevard,50 feet from the property <br /> line. There will be one driveway access which will be a"right-in,right-out"on Twin Lakes <br /> Boulevard. Staff suggests some minor modifications to the pre-cast rake finished concrete <br /> panels,in order to present a more residential design. A turn-around is suggested to provide <br /> • space for the employee checking the facility to maneuver in and out of the site. <br />
