Mick Stoffers, Leslie Anderson, Ann Schroeder, Mike
Hangaard, Karen Stelk and Joan Allen were in attendance. Visitors were: Pat Klaers, Gary and Chris
Leeseberg all from the City. A quorum was present. The agenda was moved and seconded. Since we had
visitors to discuss the expansion we moved to discuss that matter first then move onto our regular
meeting.

Gary discussed the City will be taking over the cleaning at the Library vs. the contract cleaners that we
have now. Phil suggests giving them a month notice. $1100 is what we pay now. There will be a memo from
the City to Mick to include cost, details, etc. May-June to start with new cleaning.

Current Library boilers should be fine but furnace may need to be updated and a roof top unit as an
alternative.

Chris and the board discussed the 2007/2208 expansion.
*Will be about 8,200 square feet.
*We need to establish a vision.
*Keep traffic on Proctor instead of 4th & 5th Sts.
*We have an average of 32 parking stalls now, 60 with expansion.
*Should the addition be designed so a 2nd story could be built with the next expansion?
*Circulation area needs to be much larger, we need to do space allocation.
*Are we going to be open during expansion? If we are open it will take construction longer. Try to arrange
so construction is done during non winter months. *Basement for storage, and a coffee shop were
suggestions.

There was one thing in the suggestion box, thanking the staff for providing help with the phone.
Treasurer's report: Love house has another year but it's a rolling year and at any time the City can give
them a 60 day notice. It was moved and seconded that the Treasurer's report be accepted.

Mick asked is extra equipment could be put in the Book Sale, that motion was moved and seconded.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:30pm

4/1812005
