Also, a petition of support to maintain the minimum 10 acre
lot size restriction in the A-1 zoning district was received. COMMERCIAL
Chair Minton noted that Mr. Foster was present, representing Phoenix Enterprises.
Mr. Foster's letter explained that they intend to request a zone change in the
future for that area north of 194th Avenue and east of Highway 169 from
Residential to Highway Business.
Marly Glines stated that when the recommendation was made for no
commercial development beyond the 194th alignment, the residents in the
Brentwood area were concerned with the west side of Highway 169. Mr. Glines
felt the area east of Highway 169 was included without adequate discussion.
Pat Dwyer indicated he was not in favor of reconsidering their recommendation
without informing the public. Dave Anderson also was concerned that the
public was not notified that this issue would be discussed again.
Dick Hinkle and Arne Engstrom expressed agreement with Marly's comments.
•
