The case is reviewed by the County Attorney's Office and Risk Management to decide if
there is a valid claim. I know that we have paid to have brick work or address monuments re-faced
with the new house numbers. I'm not sure about personal items such as checks, drivers licenses, etc.

When a County Road is being moved or realigned and will effect someone's address, we negotiate
costs associated with changing the address into the right-of-way purchase by our Transportation
Department.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Dee Jarvis
Dakota County Office of Planning
dee.jarvis@co.dakota.mn.us

-----Original Message-----
From: Mcpherson, Michele [mailto:MMcpherson@ci.elk-river.mn.us]
Sent: Wednesday, April 06, 20053:17 PM
To: GIS
Subject: Addressing

Hello.

Who assigns addresses in the County?
