. <br /> • other zoning districts which are located along Highway 10 and Highway 169. <br /> One of the challenges will be to retain the appropriate uses within the <br /> downtown area and not allow a continued movement of these "downtown" <br /> businesses to the Highway 10 and 169 corridors. <br /> If the downtown is to remain a vital part of the community, there may, <br /> unfortunately, have to be tighter parameters placed on certain uses and <br /> direct those uses to specifically the downtown area. <br /> Another area worth mentioning relates to the City's occupation ordinance. <br /> Although it is not happening at an alarming rate, there is occasionally home <br /> occupations that are established which are pushing the envelope of whether <br /> they are compatible with the residential neighborhood. Furthermore, by <br /> allowing these "specialty" commercial uses in residential areas, it only <br /> further takes away from the opportunities which could be given to the <br /> downtown area. <br /> Residential Development <br /> Chairman Minton asked that residential development be added to the agenda <br /> for Thursday's meeting.
