GOAL: Support a regional transportation system which offers convenient
and adequate service within and through the area.
POLICIES:
• Provide for off-street parking within the commercial area to reduce
vehicle congestion.
• Implement an intersection and traffic control program through the
use of signage and signals.
• Encourage a high level of efficiency, productivity, and quality of
service in modes of transportation between Elk River, surrounding
communities and the Metropolitan areas.
• Provide frontage roads to reduce access points along major
thoroughfares.
• Provide collectors and local streets as appropriate to provide links
to the existing system.
•
