Community Education Grant Application <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED APPROVAL OF AN APPLlCATI N FOR FUNDING BY COMMUNITY <br />EDUCATION. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTI N. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />1. Review of Pending Legal Actions <br /> <br />Ron Black was present to discuss with the City Coun <br />and covered specifically the Piwowar situation. COUNCILMEMB R SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Long Range/Strategic Planning <br /> <br /> <br />The City Administrator reviewed the concept of stra and long-range planning <br />with the City Council. The City Council indicated support for the concept <br />and the need for such planning in the City of Elk R"ver. The City Council also <br />expressed a desire to have more information regardi g the planning tool and who <br />was currently using strategic planning and how it h d been accomplished in other <br />areas of the United States. <br /> <br />4. Zoning Practices and Techniques <br /> <br />The City Council directed that the staff prepare or inance amendments to have <br />certain routine items handled administratively as 0 posed to having Planning <br />Commission and City Council action required.
