Indicated she would <br />be looking at Just walkins away from the lots if the <br />assessment were passed. Stated she was totally opposed to <br />the assessment. <br /> <br />Lloyd Anderson Questioned who would pay the taxes and <br />assessments if the owners walk away from the property. <br /> <br />Eleanor Todal -Understood the project was initiated because <br />only four people complained. <br /> <br />Peter Rohlf - Wanted to see a show of hands as to how many <br />people we~e in favor or opposed to the project. <br /> <br />Dick Hetland- Stated he was opposed to the project because <br />he sees no increase in value in the property. <br /> <br />Jane Williams Questioned how much it would cost to <br />rebuild a sewer system if it should fail. <br /> <br />Michelle Davis - Questioned if a lot line could be removed <br />soa person could pay for one unit as opposed to two. <br /> <br />Lorraine Lieber indicated she lives by a pond and was <br />questioning whether water would be drained into it. <br /> <br />Jim Hennum Stated the assessments would not raise the <br />property value by the cost of the assessments. Stated he is <br />opposed because he feels it is not needed in the area. <br /> <br />After discussion by the City Council, a vote of hands as to <br />those opposed to the assessment was taken. A vast maJo~ity <br />of the people we~e against the assessment. <br /> <br />The improvement project for sanita~y sewer, water main, <br />street restoration and storm sewer improvements for proprty <br />in the Westwood Subdivision, Lundgren Homes First Addition, <br />and Island View Third Addition was dropped at this time. <br /> <br />
