She has indicated <br /> there will be no other employees and there will be one chair. Services to be <br /> provided include hair and nail styling, and the sale of beauty products. The <br /> proposed hours of operation would be by appointment only between 9:00 am <br /> to 9:00pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday. The <br /> proposed business complies with the zoning code regarding hours of operation <br /> and number of employees. <br /> The applicant is proposing to utilize the existing driveway for parking. There <br /> is room for two clients to park in the driveway. Given that there will only be <br /> one chair and clients would come by appointment only, parking should not be <br /> a problem. <br /> Signage shall not exceed 2 square feet and the sign has to be mounted flat on <br /> the outside wall of the homes. <br /> Recommendation <br /> It is recommended the Planning Commission recommend approval of Ms. <br /> Gessner's request for a conditional use permit to operate a hair salon from <br /> her home with the following conditions: <br /> • 1. Hours of operation not exceed 7:00am to 10:00 pm. <br /> 2. No exterior storage or display be allowed. <br /> 3. Signage be limited to 2 square feet and mounted flat on the wall of the <br /> home. <br /> 4. A maximum of one full time employee or equivalent, other than persons <br /> who customarily reside at the residence, shall be employed. <br /> 5. The applicant work with the building inspector to ensure that all <br /> applicable building codes are met. <br /> 6.
