~ REGULAR WEEKLY SCHEDULED MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL MONDAY, JUNE 17, 1985 Members Present: Mayor Hinkle, Councilmember Schuldt, Engstrom, Williams and Gunkel. Members Absent: None Also Present: Planning Commission Chairman Tralle and Planning Commissioner Fuchs. 1. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m by Mayor Hinkle. 2. Agenda Item #9 was removed from the June 17, 1985 City Council agenda. COUNCILMEMBERGUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE JUNE 17,1985 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. 3. Minutes A. Minutes of June 3, 1985 City Council Meeting. Correction made on Page three, Item 116 - Should read consisted of "nine lots" not consisted of "none lots." Also on Page four, second paragraph should read Mayor Hinkle closed the public hearing not opened the public hearing. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE JUNE 3, 1985 CITY COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. B. Minutes of June 10, 1985 City Counc il Meeting. Correction made on Item #3 - Should read "Councilmember Gunkel seconded the motion" not Williams. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE JUNE 10, 1985 CITY COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. 4. Open Mike No one appeared for this item. 5. Jerald Bernard Variance Request - P.H. Planning Commissioner Tralle~ introduced a request by Mr. Jerald Bernard of 21460 Jarvis Street, Elk River for a variance to the 600 foot setback requirement to allow him to construct a 24' x 27' metal-skinned accessory building approximately 450 feet from a neighboring residence. Planning Commissioner Tralle noted that the Planning Commission reviewed the applica- tion and felt the request was reasonable and recommended approval on a six to zero vote.
