The planned unit development as it was originally presented by <br /> Derrick Investment was to construct 15 four-unit buildings for a total of 59 <br /> dwelling units and one clubhouse unit. The project was proposed as an adult <br /> community providing housing opportunities for active adults 55 and older. <br /> Throughout the public hearing process, the residency requirement of 55 years <br /> and older was mentioned and was finally approved by the Planning <br /> Commission and City Council with the understanding and condition this <br /> project would be for residents 55 years and older. <br /> Recently, the developer has suggested an interest in removing the residency <br /> requirement. The request at this time is to amend the planned unit <br /> development agreement to allow no restrictions on the residency <br /> • requirements for the project.
