During her absence, Office Assistant Melanie Crayford managed the operations of the front <br /> desk area of the building division and performed the duties of the Building Permit Technician. Ms. <br /> Crayford continued to receive her normal pay during this period of time and staff believes a retroactive <br /> adjustment is warranted. <br /> Financial Impact <br /> The Office Assistant position is in pay grade 3 and the Building Permit Technician position is in pay <br /> grade 5. Ms. Schwichtenberg was out of the office for four and a half months,most of that time was <br /> unpaid.
