Due to the funding not being available until later <br /> staff suggests waiting until September to start the public meetings. <br /> Commissioner Niziolek would like to incorporate the Stakeholders into timeline either <br /> now or at another meeting. <br /> Chair Anderson asked to postpone this item and bring back in April as a discussion. <br /> Moved by Commissioner Niziolek and seconded by Commissioner Soltvedt to <br /> table this item and discuss it at the April Commission meeting to establish a plan <br /> to involve a community group to be involved in this process.Motion carried 7-0. <br /> 6. Discussion Items <br /> 6.1 Spectrum Outdoor Ice Rink <br /> Mr. Hecker shared his staff report. <br /> Athletic Director,Rick Peterson and Executive Director,DatDeBruyn of SpectrumHigh <br /> School shared their merest in collaborating with city staff to Gild an outdoor ice rink at the <br /> Spectrum Athletic Complex.The site would offer a warming house and lighting. City staff <br /> would flood the rink and provide warming house attendants. <br /> Commissioner Holmgrenked;if the hockey boards would be an issue for the football <br /> program. <br /> Mr. Peterson stated the hockey boards would be seasonal. <br /> Commissioner Holmgren asked how many users were at Kliever Lake Fields Ice Rink. <br /> Mr. Sevcik Stated that without any staff at the rink there is not a way to collect how many <br /> people use the outdoor ice rinks. <br /> Commissioner Soltvedt asked how many users were at Lion John Weicht Park Ice Rink. <br /> Mr. Dalton shared that the Lion John Weicht Park Ice Rink is only open on the weekends <br /> and Holidays and that there is no data available for this year's use however in the past it <br /> was less than 100 users. <br /> Chair Anderson asked if this will come back to the commission as an agenda item. <br /> Mr. Hecker shared that it will be brought back after staff is able to negotiate more details <br /> rraiERF . ` r <br /> NATURE <br />
