Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> ERMU Commission Eric Volk—Water Superintendent <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> April 10, 2018 6.1e <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Update <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> None <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • Delivered five new water meters. <br /> • Sealed the water meter, and took curb stop ties from five water services. <br /> • Completed 25 BACTI/Total Chlorine Residual Samples <br /> o All confirmed negative for Coliform Bacteria <br /> o Bacteriological/Disinfectant Residual Monthly Report submitted to the MDH <br /> • Completed 20 routine fluoride samples <br /> o All samples met MDH standards. <br /> o Submitted MDH Fluoride Report <br /> • Submitted MPCA Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) for the Diesel Generation Plant <br /> • The filter reconditioning has been completed for WTP #5. The well has been put back <br /> into service. We will be pulling Well #9 for scheduled maintenance in early April. <br /> • We have been working with St. Andrews church on their water quality issue. We believe <br /> that the problem has been resolved. They had heavy iron and manganese build up in their <br /> service line. <br /> • We are hoping to get the new Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) for Well#8 installed in <br /> April.
