Mr. Steve Ach
June 22, 1995
Page Two
4. A new sidewalk is shown along King Street and is indicated to be by the City. It
would seem to be reasonable that the owner of the Funeral Home be responsible for
constructing a sidewalk from the northeast corner of his parking area to the front
of his building. This would be the means for handicap access from the parking lot
to the main floor of the building, since no inside elevator is proposed. Essentially,
a person parking in the rear wanting to access the main floor would have to get
around the building, and this sidewalk would provide the means for that movement.
5. It appears that there is a wide enough area at the south end of the site for the
proposed City river walkway corridor. However, this should be verified before any
construction activities take place.
Prior to final approval of this Site Plan, the Grading and Drainage Plan needs to be
submitted and reviewed. However, I do not believe that is such a significant issue that it
should hold up the processing of this proposal. If you have any questions regarding these
comments, please call.
Sincerely,
MSA, CONSULTING ENGINEERS
jOel.e.te,(7
Terry J. Maurer, P.E.
TJM:tw
276-2203.jun
•
