1 . Alley - A public right-of-way which is used primarily for <br /> 411 secondary vehicular service access to the back or the side of <br /> properties abutting on a street . <br /> 2 . Arterial Street - A street or highway with access <br /> restrictions designed to carry large volumes of traffic between <br /> various sectors of the City or County and beyond. <br /> 3 . Collector Street - A street which carries traffic from minor <br /> streets to arterials . <br /> 4 . Cul-de-sac - A minor street with only one outlet and having <br /> an appropriate turn-around for the safe and convenient reversal <br /> of traffic movement . <br /> 5 . Marginal Access Street - A minor street which is parallel <br /> and adjacent to an arterial street and which provides access to <br /> abutting properties and protection from through traffic. <br /> 6 . Minor Street - A street of limited continuity which is used <br /> primarily for access to abutting properties . <br /> 7 . Private Street - A street serving as vehicular access to two <br /> (2) or more parcels of land which is not dedicated to the public <br /> but is owned by one or more private parties . <br /> 8 . Street - A public right-of-way accepted or a private right- <br /> of-way approved pursuant to the requirements set forth for <br /> private streets under the section entitled Subdivision Design <br /> Standards of the Code by public authority which provides a legal <br /> primary means of public access to abutting property. The term <br /> "street" shall include a highway, thoroughfare, arterial, <br /> parkway, collector, avenue, drive, circle. road. boulevard or any <br /> other similar term describing an entity complying with the <br /> preceding requirements . <br /> 1 . £trect A public right of way acccptcd or a private right <br /> of way approved pursuant to the rcquircmcnts of Section <br /> 1008 . 15 (5) (N) of the Code by public authority which provides a <br /> legal primary means of public acccs„ to abutting property.
