The City Council agreed to pause work on design and development of ice arena improvements
on February 5, 2018, to consider a single multipurpose civic center. The Council met in a special meeting
on February 8 to confirm multipurpose facility direction;however, did not discuss possible location for
such facility. To maintain location options, pending Council's direction, staff felt it was in the city's best
interest to minimize investments in potential location options.
At the March 5, 2018,regular meeting the Council motioned to approve Oak Knoll projects and wait on
the Dave Anderson Athletic Complex (DAAC) until the work session where a discussion was scheduled
to discuss a referendum for a single, multipurpose civic center. Following the work session discussion
however, a motion to proceed with these projects was not made.
The Council further discussed the referendum for a civic center at the April 2 work session, but did not
address locating the facility at DAAC. During the meeting, the council did express a consensus to
maintain the ice arena at the current location.
The three projects include:
■ Scoreboards for$40,000
■ Irrigation for $120,000
Financial Impact
The projects are budgeted in the 2018 Park Improvement Fund.
Attachments
■ None
POWERED 6T
AR
