COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />Equipment Certificates <br /> <br />Administration <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE ADMINISTRATION EQUIPMENT <br />CERTIFICATES AS PROPOSED IN THE AMOUNT OF $11.550. . COUNCILMEMBER ENSTROM <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />Police <br /> <br />Discussion was held regarding the Tactical Response Team Equipment. The <br />Police Chief stated that this part of the budget could be cut down by <br />eliminating the body bunker shield and replace with flack jackets and <br />also by cutting down on some of the miscellaneous equipment. He noted he <br />could conceivably cut the budget to $5.000. <br /> <br />Discussion was held by the Council regarding whether this item was a <br />necessity at this time. The Police Chief noted that he would not drop <br />his request for the tactical response team. The City Administrator noted <br />that some of the miscellaneous equipment could come under capital outlay <br />items instead of the equipment certificates. It was the consensus of the <br />City Council to delete this item from equipment certificates and to <br />discuss the details of the tactical response team at a later date. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE POLICE EQUIPMENT CERTIFICATES <br />EXCLUDING THE TACTICAL RESPONSE TEAM LEAVING A TOTAL BUDGET OF $34.800. <br />COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />Fire Department <br /> <br />The Fire Chief noted that most of the Fire Department pagers are old and <br />in poor condition. He indicated there was a need to replace quite a few <br />of the paters and stated that the pagers will be an annual type of <br />purchase for the next few years until all pagers in poor condition were <br />replaced. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT <br />CERTIFICATES AS PRESENTED AT $6.000. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br />
