COUNCILMEMBER ENSTROM
SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0.

Police

Discussion was held regarding the Tactical Response Team Equipment. The
Police Chief stated that this part of the budget could be cut down by
eliminating the body bunker shield and replace with flack jackets and
also by cutting down on some of the miscellaneous equipment. He noted he
could conceivably cut the budget to $5.000.

Discussion was held by the Council regarding whether this item was a
necessity at this time. The Police Chief noted that he would not drop
his request for the tactical response team. The City Administrator noted
that some of the miscellaneous equipment could come under capital outlay
items instead of the equipment certificates. It was the consensus of the
City Council to delete this item from equipment certificates and to
discuss the details of the tactical response team at a later date.

COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE POLICE EQUIPMENT CERTIFICATES
EXCLUDING THE TACTICAL RESPONSE TEAM LEAVING A TOTAL BUDGET OF $34.800.
COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. He indicated there was a need to replace quite a few
of the paters and stated that the pagers will be an annual type of
purchase for the next few years until all pagers in poor condition were
replaced.

COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT
CERTIFICATES AS PRESENTED AT $6.000.
