Senior Activity Center Participants,
As you may know, the Elk River City council is currently considering
options regarding the location of the senior center. A referendum for a
multi-purpose building is set to be on the November 2018 ballot. Also,
the city is currently working with the YMCA regarding an addition to
that building for a senior center.
We are a group of Activity Center participants that would like to
represent, to the city council and Mayor Dietz, the opinions of all the
participants at the Activity Center regarding a future location.
In order to fairly represent everyone, we ask that you answer the
questions below, which will be presented to the Elk River city council
Please in 'cate your preferences:
Yes—N0
_I would like the Activity Center to remain at 413 Proctor
Ave. and have the overdue, necessary renovations done (Roof, HVAC
system, bathrooms, etc.)
Yes _No_" 1 would like an addition put on the YMCA for seniors. I
understand this would entail the loss of approximately 1,000 square
feet of space and does not include a YMCA membership.
Yes_No_I virOuld support a % of % percent city sales tax to repair
n the senior Activity Center and Arena. This would be
equivalent to .25 or .50 per $100.00 on taxable items, generated by
local and non-resident consumers.
ou are interested in learning about orjoining this committee of
Ars please include your contact number or email. We are not
ffil''ated with the Activity Center staff. Tfiank vou!
n s12ct1esc41'- bLCGC'1 i,'cL
nay ag er
Jack Lorge
Jim Pepin j
Cti 7 L-2, 4_C"4J('-
