Senior Activity Center Participants,
As you may know, the Elk River City council is currently considering
options regarding the location of the senior center. A referendum for a
multi-purpose building is set to be on the November 2018 ballot. Also,
the city is currently working with the YMCA regarding an addition to
that building for a senior center.
We are a group of Activity Center participants that would like to
represent, to the city council and Mayor Dietz, the opinions of all the
participants at the Activity Center regarding a future location.
In order to fairly represent everyone, we ask that you answer the
questions below, which will be presented to the Elk River city council
Please indicate your preferences:
GLNo_I would like the Activity Center to remain at 413 Proctor
Ave. and have the overdue, necessary rentor e (Roof, HVAC
system, bathrooms, etc.)
a a -
Yes No I would like an ad 'ion put on the YMCA for se ors. I
understand this would entail t loss of app 00 square
feet of space and does not include a YMCA membership.
Yes No_I would support a % or % percent city sales tax to repair
and maintain the senior Activity Center and Arena. This would be
equivalent to .25 or .50 per $100.00 on taxable items, generated by
local and non-resident consumers.
If you are interested in learning about or joining this committee of
seniors please include your contact number or email. We are not
affiliated with the Activity Center staff. Thank you!
