<br />City Council Minutes <br />July 17, 1986 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Discussion by the Council followed on the realignment of 201 to match into the <br />Deerfield access and the requirements indicated by MN DOT in their July 17, 1986 <br />meeting. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED TO (1) INCLUDE DEERFIELD 3RD ADDITION INTO THE BOND <br />ISSUE THAT WILL BE PRESENTED FOR APPROVAL TO THE CITY COUNCIL ON JULY 21, 1986; <br />(2) TO RESEND THE MOTION MADE AT THE JULY 14, 1986 MEETING WHICH DIRECTED THE <br />STAFF TO DELETE THE DEERFIELD 3RD ADDITION FROM THE BOND ISSUE; (3) THAT THE <br />JULY 17, 1986 LETTER RECEIVED FROM MN DOT BE PART OF THE MINUTES WHICH INDICATES <br />THEIR WILLINGNESS TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE NEW ACCESS ONTO HIGHWAY 169 TO <br />SERVE THE NORTHERN PORTION OF DEERFIELD 3RD ADDITION CONTINGENT UPON THE CITY <br />MEETING REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO CLOSING THE SPECHT ACCESS, SERVICING MN DOT <br />AND CLOSING THAT ACCESS, AND REALINING HIGHWAY 201 TO MATCH INTO THE NEW <br />PROPOSED ACCESS; AND (4) THAT THE RELEASE OF HIGHWAY ACCESS STATEMENTS SIGNED <br />BY MR. DALE SPECHT AND SIGNED BY EVERETT AND VERNA SPECHT BE PART OF THE MINUTES. <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Discussion followed on concerns of the Council on when the access will be built, <br />when the MN DOT access will be closed, and when construction will be needed on <br />Jackson Road to align into the new access. It was the consensus of the Council <br />that the City will work very closely with MN DOT and follow there direction in <br />precise location of the Deerfield 3rd northernly access and that the City will <br />also work very closely with MN DOT in realining the State Highway 201 on the <br />west side of 169. The Council understood that MN DOT will be serviced and the <br />City lot north of MN DOT will be serviced by a frontage road provided by the <br />Deerfield 3rd Addition plat coming from the south off of Elk Hills Drive. <br /> <br />2. Request from George Deschenes to have the City pay $300.00 for the Easement of <br />the existing Cul-de~Sac that is on his Property and to have the City pay $935.00 <br />for repair work done by George Deschenes in 1984 for Drainage work done in <br />relationship to the Barrington Place Development <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council to offer Mr. Deschenes $300.00 for easement <br />to allow the existing Cul-de-Sac to remain in place. It was also the consensus <br />of the Council that further negotiations need to be done between Mr. Deschenes <br />and the City before any payment of repair work could be paid to Mr. Deschenes <br />for work that he did in 1984. <br /> <br />3. Adjournment <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT <br />SECONDED THE MOTION.
