Survey Requirements <br /> <br />The Building and Zoning Administrator indicated he was requesting that the <br />City Council review the certificate of survey requirement and establish a <br />policy. He stated the previous Building and Zoning Administrator <br />requested a survey on lots less than ten acres in size. He indicated he <br />fe1 t a survey on lots less than five ac res in size would be appropriate. <br />He stated that requiring surveys on lots less than five acres may be more <br />restrictive than we have to be. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER WILLIAMS MOVED TO DRAFT A RESOLUTION STATING THAT SURVEYS <br />ARE REQUIRED PRIOR TO BUILDING PERMIT ISSUANCE ON LAND UNDER FIVE ACRES IN <br />SIZE. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />6. Update Items From Street Superintendent <br /> <br />A. Boulevard Trees <br /> <br />The Street Superintendent indicated the 1986 budget provided for the <br />purchasing of 65 bare root trees. and questioned whether he should go <br />ahead with the project. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Discussion was held on where the trees should be planted. It was <br />suggested that trees be planted on Norfolk and Morton and also School <br />Street and Freeport. <br /> <br />The City Council indicated Phil Hals should order the trees and <br />proceed with the project. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Overlay Projects <br /> <br />The Street Superintendent indicated he would like to look into some <br />subdivision overlay projects in 1986. He indicated the subdivisions <br />he had in mind were Ridgewood East. Knollwood and portions of <br />Riverview Heights. He indicated the existing asphalt is in <br />deteriorating condition and seal coating would not be adequate. <br /> <br />Discussion was then turned to the condition of Main Street and the <br />fact that Main Street could also use an overlay since the Main Street <br />Project had been cancelled for this year. It was the consensus of the <br />Council that Main Street be included in the overlay projects to be <br />done in 1986. <br /> <br />The Council directed tbe Street Superintendent to hold informational <br />meetings with the residents regarding the overlay projects. It was <br />the consensus of the Council to hold the meetings on a staff level <br />with the public. <br /> <br />Work on Main Street will not be included in the proposed discussion of <br />overlay projects. <br /> <br />e <br />
