COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED TO SEND TO THE PLANNING COItMISSIOH THE COUNCIL'S RECOMMENDATION OF MODIFYING THE C-2 ZONE TO SERVE AS A BUFFER ZONE BETWEEN RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL PROPERTY. COUNCILMEMBER WILLIAMS SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-1. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT OPPOSED. Mayor Hinkle indicated he felt there was a difference in.the Main Street issue as opposed to the PUD's because the property on Main Street is already occupied by single family and the PUD's were bare land. Councilmember Engstrom noted he felt the difference with the Main Street situation is that there were no residents complaining about the request to change the zoning. Councilmember Schuldt indicated he was opposed to the motion because he felt this would never have come up had the Main Street issue not been presented to the City Council. 9.
