Shields <br /> RE: Elk Park Center <br /> Elk River, Minnesota <br /> Project Number 92075 <br /> SUBJECT: Supplementary Information for PUD - Phase One Development <br /> The purpose of this memo is to provide r.he City of Elk River with additional information requested <br /> to clarify and define the conditions shown on the Phase One Development submittal. <br /> Phase One includes the architectural, landscape, lighting and civil engineering plans for <br /> • development of that portion of the project which lies west of Freeport Avenue. It also includes the <br /> development of all public improvements. These include the constrection of Freeport Avenue, <br /> pedestrian systems (sidewalks and bike ways), improvements to adjacent intersections to improve <br /> traffic management systems. construction of a retention / sedimentation pend and associated <br /> storm sewer system. <br /> The proposed buildings include a 65,800 square foot Cub Foods store, a 90,000 square foot <br /> Target Store, and three retail building of 36,600 square feet. 29.025 square feet and 24,600 <br /> square feet, respectively. The primary building materials will be decorative "rockfaced" concrete <br /> masonry with integral color, face brick veneer, and prefinished metal. As indicated on the <br /> drawings, the fronts and exposed ends of the retail buildings will be constructed primarily of face <br /> brick with decorative glazed concrete masonry accents. The rear surfaces will be constructed of <br /> decorative"rockface"concrete masonry in a complementary color. The majority of the walls for the <br /> two anchor tenants, Target and Cub Foods, will be constructed ot decorative "rocktace' concrete <br /> masonry with brick veneer at the entrances. <br /> Architectural Character: <br /> The proposed design combines traditional retail storefronts with large show windows, brick and <br /> decorative masonry elements and metal awnings to create the character of a small town main <br /> street. The design incorporates sidewalk planting areas and pedestrian scale lighting fixtures to <br /> reinforce the sidewalk character of the retail shops.
