Provide staff direction as <br /> required. <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> On February 5, 2018, at the regular meeting of the Council, Councilmember Wagner stated she would <br /> Eke to pause on the current arena project. The Council expressed consensus to further discuss the item at <br /> their scheduled Special Meeting on February, 8, 2018. <br /> At the February 8 Special Meeting, the Council discussed a motion to revisit putting the community <br /> center option back to referendum. Councilmember Wagner amended her motion for "Council to bring <br /> back a multipurpose facility for a referendum vote."The motion was further amended in that it does not <br /> identify a site specific location and the Council was to lead the effort. Mayor Dietz seconded the motion <br /> and the motion passed 3-2 with Councilmembers Westgaard and Olsen opposed. <br /> Following is a link to the 2016 Community Center Feasibility Study: <br /> http://mn-elkriver.civicplus.com/DocumentCenter/View/3836 <br /> On March 5,2018,Mayor Dietz presented a facility plan for the Council to consider. Councilmember <br /> Wagner presented an outline for a referendum discussion. The Council did not provide direction or <br /> express consensus on either plan and asked for the discussion to continue on April 2, 2018. <br /> We have athletic field improvements planned for the Dave Anderson Athletic Complex including <br /> irrigation replacement and scoreboard replacement.
