Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Gunkel. <br /> <br />2. Consider 11/23/87 City Council Agenda <br /> <br />Items 8A - City Administrator; 8B - Counci1member Schuldt; and 8C - Mayor <br />Gunkel. were added to the 11/23/87 City Council agenda. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE 11/23/87 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA AS <br />AMKNDED. COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5- <br />O. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Consider 11/5/87 City Council Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Gunkel noted that page 4. Item 4. paragraph 2. she would like tbe <br />second sentence changed to read as follows: "Mayor Gunkel indicated that <br />in spite of the 10/26/87 Council consensus to readvertise this position. <br />she thought that one of the two candidates interviewed is qualified in <br />the areas of education. experience and right approach to interface well <br />with Council. staff. committees and the public." <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO APPROVE THE 11/5/87 CITY COUNCIL MINUTES AS <br />AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5- <br />O. <br /> <br />8A. City Administrator <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the Police Department received <br />quotes for a 1988 police vehicle and are requesting council approval to <br />purchase a 1988 Chevrolet Caprice from Polar Chevrolet in White Bear Lake <br />for $11.847. He noted that this was the low bid and was a result of <br />Hennepin County Purchasing Contract. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The City Administrator explained that funds to purchase the vehicle will <br />come from 1988 equipment certificate money and the vehicle will be <br />purchased in early January. 1988. <br />
