Building and Zoning Administrator. reviewed the site plan
with the City Council. He reviewed the Fire Chief's concerns. one of
which was that the east side of the newly proposed storage building be
marked "no parking fire lane" and that this area be blocked off to
prevent parking on the east side.

The Council discussed the area on the site plan marked garden center.
The Building and Zoning Administrator stated that the City Attorney had
interpreted this to be outside storage unless the plants were taken in
every night. It was the consensus of the Council to not make a decision
on the garden center at this time but to wait until Staff has reviewed
all garden centers in Elk River and sets a policy.
