e e e REGULAR MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL HELD AT THE ELK RIVER PUBLIC LIBRARY MONDAY. JANUARY 5. 1987 Councilmembers Present: Mayor Hinkle. Councilmembers Engstrom. Schuldt. Gunkel. and Tralle. Also Present: Councilmembers Elect Dobel and Holmgren Staff Present: Pat Klaers. City Administrator; and Steve Rohlf. Building and Zoning Administrator 1. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Hinkle 2. Oath of Office The City Estelle Gunkel. Administrator administered the Oath of Office to Mayor Elect Gunkel. At this time Mr. Hinkle turned the gavel over to Mayor The City Administrator administered the Oath of Office to Councilmember Elect Roger Holmgren. Councilmember Holmgren took his seat at the Council table at this time. The City Administrator administered the Oath of Office to Councilmember Elect Harold Dobel. Mr. Engstrom stepped down and Councilmember Dobel took his seat at the Council table at this time. 3. Consider 1/5/87 Council Agenda Under Item 7.5. the City Administrator added the following: Main Street Bridge. and Minnesota Basketball Team COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1/5/87 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. 4.1.Consideration of December 8. 1986 City Council Minutes Councilmember Schuldt noted he would like the minutes to reflect the reason for his opposition on Item #8 (City Vehicles). Councilmember Schuldt stated he would like the following wording included: "Councilmember Schuldt voted against the motion based on his opposition to item /13 regarding a car allowance for the police chief." COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE DECEMBER 8. 1986 CITY COUNCIL MINUTES AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. 4.2.Consideration of December 15. 1986 City Council Minutes The City Administrator noted that on item 8.4 the motion should be changed to read "Calling for the transfer of general landfill tax monies."
