Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Consider 11/10/88 City Council Agenda <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE 11/10/88 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />3. Canvass Municipal Election Results <br /> <br />The City Council reviewed the election results as reviewed in the <br />11/10/88 memo from the Deputy City Clerk to the City Council and the <br />figures provided on election results in Resolution 88-94. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE RESOLUTION 88-94, A RESOLUTION <br />CANVASSING THE 11/8/88 MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION RESULTS. COUNCILMlMBIR <br />DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION.. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />City Administrator Update <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the City Council that the police cars <br />selected by the Hennepin County Cooperative Purchasing Group were Crown <br />Victoria vehicles from Southdale Ford for the amount of $13,150 per car. <br />The Administrator noted that three vehicles were planned to be purchased <br />in 1989 during the budget process and indicated that these vehicles are <br />scheduled to be ordered on Monday, 11/14/88. <br /> <br />City Administrator indicated that the Legion Organization is scheduled to <br />be on the 11/21/88 City Council Agenda to renew its pull tab license and <br />to discuss some of its community donations that have been, in part, <br />financed by the pull tab operation. <br /> <br />The Administrator gave a brief update on the status of the police union <br />negotiations that are taking place. It was noted that discussions are <br />still taking place and that everyone involved hopes that things will be <br />settled before the end of the year. <br /> <br />A general discussion took place that reviewed the 11/7/88 presentation <br />from Dick Fursman and Mike Mulrooney on the Central Business District <br />redevelopment plan. As background information, the City Administrator <br />distributed past memos and minutes that provided information on some <br />
