In addition to the parking required for the principal single family dwelling unit on the lot, there shall be one <br />off-street parking space provided on an approved surface for the accessory dwelling unit; <br />l. The property owner must reside in the principal single family dwelling unit or in the accessory dwelling unit; <br />m. An accessory dwelling unit must be on the same parcel of property as the principal single family dwelling unit. <br />A property may not be subdivided or otherwise segregated to provide separate ownership of an accessory dwelling unit; <br />n. The principal single family dwelling unit and accessory dwelling unit shall have one postal address; <br />o. An accessory dwelling unit must provide for one independent housekeeping unit having cooking, sleeping, and <br />sanitary facilities; <br />p. The principal single family dwelling unit and accessory dwelling unit shall be served by single well, septic, <br />municipal water, sanitary sewer, gas and/or electric utility service lines. Separate meters for the respective utilities are <br />allowed; <br />q. The principal single family dwelling unit and attached accessory dwelling unit shall have one heating and air <br />conditioning system; <br />r. The accessory dwelling unit and the associated principal single family dwelling unit must meet all current state <br />building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and fire code provisions including emergency vehicle access to any accessory <br />dwelling unit. <br />Accessory use, structure or building means a use, structure or building or portion of a structure <br />subordinate to and serving the principal use and structure on the same lot and customarily incidental <br />thereto. <br />Active use storage means an enclosed facility containing multiple individual units used for the <br />storage, maintenance, and display of vehicles. The facility may not be used for retail sales, business <br />operations, or overnight stays. <br />Administrative subdivision means a subdivision involving the creation of four or fewer tracts or <br />lots. <br />Agricultural research facilities means buildings, laboratories, and other facilities or structures which <br />are used in connection with agricultural research and development, investigation, testing, or <br />experimentation. Such facilities may include, but are not limited to, animal feeding facilities, barns, <br />storage buildings, confinement areas, or other animal housing units; pasture and grazing areas; <br />cropped or tilled fields; grain and feed processing; nursery areas; and agricultural waste management <br />facilities or systems. <br />Agricultural building means a structure or building or portion of a structure subordinate to and <br />serving an agricultural use. <br />Agricultural use means the use of land for growing or producing field crops, keeping or <br />producing of livestock, and livestock products and poultry. The term shall include incidental retail <br />selling by the producer of products raised on the premises, provided that customer parking space is <br />furnished off the public right-of-way. The term shall not include feedlots. <br />Alley means a public or private right-of-way not greater than 24 feet in width which affords a <br />secondary means of access to abutting property. <br />Alteration is an activity that will change or diminish the course, current, or cross-section of a <br />wetland or wetland buffer strip including, but not limited to, changes in size, depth or contour, or
