<br />CONTINUED MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER BOARD OF REVIEW <br />HELD AT THE ELK RIVER PUBLIC LIBRARY <br />MONDAY. JUNE 6. 1988 <br /> <br />tit <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Gunkel. Councilmembers Dobel. Schuldt. and Tralle <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Holmgren <br /> <br />Also Present: John Cullen. Residential Appraiser; and Patrick D. <br />Klaers. City Administrator <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River Board of <br />Review was called to order at 7:07 p.m. by Mayor Gunkel. <br /> <br />Mayor Gunkel indicated that this Board of Review meeting was a continuation of <br />the May 11. 1988. Board of Review meeting. She indicated there were two <br />properties which the assessor was authorized to reappraise. <br /> <br />David Shappell - 9325 164th Lane - 117-000-134105 <br /> <br />Mayor Gunkel indicated that David Shappell had disputed that his property <br />value was too high because of the industrial activity around his property. <br />John Cullen. Residential Appraiser. indicated that he had reinspected this <br />property on May 17. 1988. and the value has been reduced from $79.100 to <br />$72.900 due to the locational factor of the industrial property surrounding <br />his property. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Board of Review that no action was necessary as <br />Mr. Shappell was not present and it was assumed that he was in agreement <br />with the findings of the Residential Assessor. <br /> <br />Dick and Kathy Pomeroy - 13939 189th Ave. NW - 115-410-010080. <br />115-410-010060. 115-410-010070. 115-410-010030 <br /> <br />Mayor Gunkel indicated that Mr. & Mrs. Pomeroy disputed the valuation of their <br />property due to the surrounding homes in the area being of much lower value <br />than their home. <br /> <br />Residential Appraiser. John Cullen. indicated that he had inspected the house <br />and found no reason to lower the valuation due to the surroundings of the <br />home. He did. however. indicate that there has been physical depreciation <br />to the inside of the home. resulting in a decrease of valuation from $94.400 <br />to $88.300. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Board of Review that no action was necessary due <br />to the fact that Mr. & Mrs. Pomeroy were not present and it was assumed that <br />they were in agreement with the findings of the Residential Appraiser. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO ADJOURN <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE SECONDED.
