He further indicated that he was paying a very high amount of <br />taxes (approximately $1.800) and questioned the reason for this. <br />Appraiser John Cullen indicated that since the $56.200 valuation was <br />placed on the property. the property has been reappraised and a garage. <br />fire place and cedar deck have been added. and also the 6% increase. He <br />further indicated that the reason for the high dollar amount due in taxes <br />is because the house has only a one-half homestead credit. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Board of Review to take no action to lower <br />the valuation of the property owned by Richard and Nancy Nelson. <br /> <br />The petitioners accepted the fact that no action was taken. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Barbara Johnson - 11880 Highland Road - 115-140-050080 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Mr. Greg Johnson indicated that his property value was evaluated at <br />$94.300. He stated his property value has risen considerably and felt it <br />was not a fair evaluation since he is considered a buffer zone for duplex <br />and multi family residential property. He stated he had an independent <br />appraiser appraise his home and the evaluation was $10.000 lower than the <br />County evaluation. Appraiser Jerry Kritzeck stated that the reason for <br />the increase in valuation was that the house has been reappraised and a <br />pool and a second garage have been added to the valuation of the house <br />along with the 6% increase. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED THAT THE APPRAISED VALUE OF $94.300 STAND AS <br />IS FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 11880 HIGHLAND ROAD. PIN 1115-140-050080. <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />5) Dick and Kathy Pomeroy - 13939 189th Avenue NW - 115-410-010080. <br />115-410-010060. 115-410-010070. 115-410-010030 <br /> <br />Mr. Pomeroy indicated that he owns four parcels of land and each is <br />valued at $1.800. He further stated that he owns a fourth parcel which <br />includes his home and that a valuation of $94.400 has been placed on this <br />Parcel. He indicated that his property value raised 6%. He stated that <br />the homes in his area were of much less value than his and. therefore. <br />felt his home was valued too high. Appraiser John Cullen indicated that <br />the property was last appraised with an on-site appraisal in 1980. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO REEVALUATE THE ASSESSED VALUE OF THE <br />PROPERTY OWNED BY DICK AND KATHY POMEROY DUE TO THE SURROUNDING LOWER <br />PROPERTY VALUES. COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />6) <br /> <br />Cece1ia Scheel - 10271 213th Avenue NW - 117-000-123200 <br /> <br />Ms. Scheel indicated that she owned 80 acres of property with two homes <br />on the property. She stated that the property was valued at $166.700. <br />She stated that there has been no change in the value other than the 6%. <br />
