<br />Page 4 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Joint Meeting Minutes <br />April 11, 1988 <br /> <br />When the City Council reconvened, the City Administrator distributed a letter <br />dated April 1, 1988, from the City Engineer. This letter and attached <br />resolution discussed MSA road designations within the City. City Engineer, <br />Terry Maurer, discussed the designation of Waco Street from Highway 10 to <br />County Road 35 as a City MSA Designated Route. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 88- 27. A RESOLUTION <br />ESTABLISHING MUNICIPAL STATE AID HIGHWAYS WITHIN THE CITY OF ILK RIVER. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />The City Administrator distributed a memo dated April ii, 1988, from the Fire <br />Chief. This me~o discusses a possible future addition to the existing Elk <br />River Fire Station. This issue was previously discussed by the City Council <br />during the annual report presentation by the Fire Chief in February, 1988. <br />The possibility of a January or February 1989 bond referendum for fire <br />department neeus i~ very likely. In this regard, the Fire Chief is requesting <br />the use of an architect to assist in determining future fire department space <br />needs at the existing fire station. The request from the fire department is <br />to use the same architect that designed the existing fire station. The cost <br />to use Mr. Peter Racchin and Associates for preliminary draft of the fire <br />department needs was an amount not exceed $800.00. The Council concurred that <br />such preliminary work is necessary in order to adequately evaluate the need <br />for bond referendum in 1989. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE USE OF <br />ASSOCIATES TO PROVIDE PRELIMINARY DRAFT INFORMATION, <br />EXCEED $800.00. FOR WORK AT THE ELK RIVER FIRE STATION. <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />PETER RACCHIN AND <br />IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE <br /> <br />COUNCILMlMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO ADJOURN THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL MEETING. <br />COUNCILMlMBER TRALLE SECONDED THE MOTION.
