Highway 169 Signals The City Administrator distributed a letter from the City Engineer regarding the proposed traffic signals at Highway 169 and Jackson Avenue. The letter indicated that a delay in the project would not create any problems with MnDOT. 8.5. Land of Lakes Choir Boys The City Administrator distributed a letter of thanks from the Land of Lakes Choir Boys for the City allowing them to use the old City Hall for storage of equipment. 8.6. Garbage and Refuse Collection The City Administrator informed responsibility of garbage and refuse of time and money. He indicated bidding the job out. the Council that the City's collection is costing the city a lot that the City would like to consider It was the consensus of the City Council to allow staff to request bids for the collection of garbage and refuse. e 8.7. Senior Citizen Coordinator The City Administrator informed the Council that Suzanne Kapla. Senior Citizen Coordinator is requesting to go full time. At the present she works 32 hours per week. He stated this request is endorsed by Carol Mills and Charlie Blesener. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO PROMOTE SUE KAPLA TO A FULL TIME (40 HOURS PER WEEK) POSITION. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 7.1. Mayor Tralle Update Mayor Tralle informed the Council of the February 16, 1989. 6:00 p.m. Board of Canvass meeting. 7.2 Snowmobiles Mayor Tralle informed Staff and Council that he has had complaints and has personally noticed. snowmobiles driving in the City illegally, specifically at the Elk River Mall. Mayor Tralle indicated he would speak to the Police Chief regarding this matter. 9. Ad j ou rnmen t e There being no further business. COUNCIL MEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADJOURN 'I'm: MlI'rING.
