Highway 169 Signals <br /> <br />The City Administrator distributed a letter from the City Engineer <br />regarding the proposed traffic signals at Highway 169 and Jackson Avenue. <br />The letter indicated that a delay in the project would not create any <br />problems with MnDOT. <br /> <br />8.5. Land of Lakes Choir Boys <br /> <br />The City Administrator distributed a letter of thanks from the Land of <br />Lakes Choir Boys for the City allowing them to use the old City Hall for <br />storage of equipment. <br /> <br />8.6. Garbage and Refuse Collection <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed <br />responsibility of garbage and refuse <br />of time and money. He indicated <br />bidding the job out. <br /> <br />the Council that the City's <br />collection is costing the city a lot <br />that the City would like to consider <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the City Council to allow staff to request bids <br />for the collection of garbage and refuse. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />8.7. Senior Citizen Coordinator <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that Suzanne Kapla. Senior <br />Citizen Coordinator is requesting to go full time. At the present she <br />works 32 hours per week. He stated this request is endorsed by Carol <br />Mills and Charlie Blesener. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO PROMOTE SUE KAPLA TO A FULL TIME (40 <br />HOURS PER WEEK) POSITION. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />7.1. Mayor Tralle Update <br /> <br />Mayor Tralle informed the Council of the February 16, 1989. 6:00 p.m. <br />Board of Canvass meeting. <br /> <br />7.2 Snowmobiles <br /> <br />Mayor Tralle informed Staff and Council that he has had complaints and <br />has personally noticed. snowmobiles driving in the City illegally, <br />specifically at the Elk River Mall. Mayor Tralle indicated he would <br />speak to the Police Chief regarding this matter. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Ad j ou rnmen t <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />There being no further business.
