Call Meetin~ to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Consider 4/30/90 City Council A~enda <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 4/30/90 <br />AGENDA. COUNC I LMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />THE MOTION <br /> <br />3.1 Consider 4/12/90 Board of Review Minutes <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE 4/12/90 BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />3.2 Consider 4/23/90 City Council Minutes <br /> <br />Councilmember Schuldt indicated that he would like the following added <br />to Page 2, Item #5; "Councilmember Schuldt stated his concern regarding <br />whether the ordinance would address the channel speed under the Highway <br />10 bridge and also whether the ordinance would address remote control <br />ski boats". <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE 4/23/90 <br />MINUTES. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />CARRIED 4-0. Councilmember Dobel abstained. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />THE MOTION <br /> <br />4.1 <br /> <br />Discussion with Garba~e Haulers <br /> <br />Gary Schmitz, Recycling Coordinator, stated that staff has met with <br />four local garbage haulers to discuss the direction of the City of Elk <br />Ri ver curbside recycling program. He stated that the garbage haulers <br />were present to discuss their concerns with the Council. Gary Schmitz <br />stated that the Council had previously requested staff to research <br />voluntary recycling as opposed to mandatory recycling as they felt that <br />phasing in mandatory recycling may be easier to accept for the Elk <br />River residents. <br />
