Call Meetin~ to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order by Vice Mayor Schuldt at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Consider 10/14/91 City Council A~enda <br /> <br />The order of the agenda was changed so that City Hall discussion could <br />come before consideration of Liquor Store computers. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVED THE 10/14/91 CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />Mayor Tralle arrived at this time. <br /> <br />4. City Hall/Police Department Facilitv Work Session <br /> <br />Kevin Conley stated that tonight's meeting would focus on the site plan <br />and the floor plan as laid out in the schematic design phase. He <br />indicated that the next step was design development phase and further <br />that the project is currently on schedule. Kevin proceeded to go <br />through his October 10, 1991, memo to the City addressing the items <br />listed. <br /> <br />There was discussion regarding the size of the tr~ining room and <br />whether or not it would be made available to the public. It was agreed <br />that City needs come first and, subject to availability, the room would <br />be open to the public based on the criteria outlined in a policy to be <br />developed. <br /> <br />The Council discussed Item #6 regarding the elimination of space for <br />various departments in the new City Hall. The ,Recreation position was <br />discussed with the feeling that it was more appropriately housed at <br />Community Education at this time. It was further noted that if space <br />were needed, some could be found for a recreation employee, but not for <br />a park and recreation department. John Dietz felt it would be many <br />years before such a department would be housed at City Hall. Pat <br />
