Strikethroughs to be removed <br />Underlines to be added <br />Last Updated March 2014 <br />Landscaping contractor yard means the use of land, buildings or structures for the storage of <br />equipment and materials, or as office space, in conjunction with the operation of a landscaping <br />business. <br />Laundry establishment means a business that provides washing, drying, and/or ironing machines <br />for hire to be used by customers on the premises to clean clothing or other fabrics. <br /> <br />Limited stay lodging means a building or structure where sleeping, and cooking and/or sanitary <br />facility accommodations are furnished to users for a period of no more than seven consecutive days. <br />Liquor establishment, on-sale means the sale of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the <br />licensed premises. <br />Liquor establishment, off-sale means the sale of alcoholic beverages in original packages for <br />consumption off the premises only. <br /> <br />Loading area means an area where trucks are parked, maneuvered, loaded or unloaded of goods, <br />materials or equipment. <br />Lot, as used in article IV of this chapter, means an area within a manufactured home park <br />designed and used for the accommodation of a manufactured home. <br />Lot, means a parcel of land designated by plat, metes and bounds, registered land survey, <br />auditor's plot, or other accepted means and separated from other parcels or portions by such <br />description for the purpose of sale, lease, or separation thereof. <br />Lot, butt, means a lot at the end of a block and located between two corner lots. <br />Lot, corner, means a lot bordered on at least two adjacent sides by adjoining streets. <br />Lot depth means the minimum horizontal distance between the front lot line and the rear lot line. <br />Lot, double frontage, means a lot of which opposite ends abut on a street. <br />Lot width means the horizontal distance between side lot lines, measured at the required front <br />setback line. <br />Lot area. In R-1a unsewered and A-1 zoning districts, lot area means the horizontal land area <br />within the lot lines but not including any land within a public right-of-way or any area occupied by <br />rivers, streams, or lakes. The buildable area shall be contiguous and shall be a minimum of one acre <br />in area. In all other zoning districts, lot area means the horizontal land area within the lot lines, but <br />not including any land within a public right-of-way or any area occupied by rivers, streams, or lakes. <br />Lot coverage means the total allowable amount of lot area, expressed as a percentage, which may <br />be covered by a principal use and its accessory structures. <br />Lot of record means any lot or unit of land in an auditor's subdivision or a registered land survey <br />for which a deed, plat, auditor's subdivision or registered land survey has been recorded in the office <br />of the register of deeds or registrar of titles for the county. <br />Lower facade means the portion of the facade that includes the storefront, the transom and the <br />stringcourse.
