<br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING <br />TOWN OF ELK RIVER <br />March 10, 1953 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The Annual meeting of the Town Board of Elk River was called to order by Moderator, <br />Mrs. A.L. Powell. <br /> <br />The Treas. read his report from March 1952 to 1953. Approved as read. <br /> <br />It was moved and seconded that $1000 be taken from the Revenue Fund and transferred to the <br />Road and Bridge Fund. Carried. <br /> <br />It was moved and seconded that $2000 was voted for the Road and Bridge Fund. Carried. <br /> <br />No Revenue Fund was voted. <br /> <br />Election was held for Treasurer for two years, Supervisor for 3 years, and Assessor for 2 years. <br />Ballots were declared open until 4 p.m. <br /> <br />Voters: <br />1. Rathbun <br /> <br />Polls closed at 4 p.m. <br /> <br />Cyril Gorham received 9 votes as Soil Dist.
