<br /> <br /> Page 36 <br />Weeds are noxious weeds as defined and designated pursuant to the "Minnesota noxious weed <br />law", Minnesota Statutes, Section 18.76-18.88, as amended from time to time. <br />Wetland, as used in article VI, division 13, of this chapter, means land that is annually subject to <br />periodic or continual inundation by water, commonly referred to as a bog, swamp, or marsh. <br />Wetland means a surface water feature classified as a wetland in the United States Fish and <br />Wildlife Service Circular No. 39 (1971 edition) or as defined in Minn. Stats. § 103F.612, subd. 1. <br />Wetland buffer strip is an area of vegetated ground cover around the perimeter of a wetland that, <br />either in its natural condition or through intervention, has the characteristics of a buffer as <br />previously defined. <br />Wind turbine means a machine that converts the kinetic energy in the wind into a usable form. <br />Wholesale business means an establishment or place of business primarily engaged in selling <br />and/or distributing merchandise to retailers; to industrial, commercial, institutional, or professional <br />business users, or to other wholesalers; or acting as agents or brokers and buying merchandise for, <br />or selling merchandise to, such individuals or companies. <br /> <br />Yard means an open space on the same lot with a building or structure, which is unoccupied <br />and unobstructed from the ground up except for accessory structures or as otherwise permitted by <br />city ordinance. (See figure A at the end of this section.) <br />Yard, front, means a yard extending along the full width of a front lot line between side lot lines <br />and from the front lot line to the nearest structure building line in depth. On a corner lot, the front <br />yard shall be on each street, with the rear yard being opposite the address side. (See figure A at the <br />end of this section.) <br />Yard, garage side, means a yard extending from the front yard to the rear yard and lying between <br />the side lot line and the nearest attached accessory structure building line. (See figure A at the end of <br />this section.) <br />Yard, rear, means a yard extending along the full width of a rear lot line (opposite the addressed <br />side) between side lot lines and from the rear lot line to the nearest structure building line in depth. <br />(See figure A at the end of this section.) In determining the depth of the rear yard for any structure <br />building where the rear yard opens into an alley, one-half the width of the alley, but not exceeding <br />ten feet, may be considered as a portion of the rear yard. <br />Yard, side, means a yard extending from the front yard to the rear yard and lying between the <br />side lot line and the nearest principal structure building line or detached accessory structure building <br />line. (See figure A at the end of this section.) <br />Yard waste site means a site approved by the city, Sherburne County, and the Minnesota <br />Pollution Control Agency, if required, for the storage, transfer or composting of yard waste. <br />Zero lot line means the location of a building on a lot of record in such a manner that one or <br />more of the building's sides rests directly on a lot line of a lot of record and which shares a common <br />wall with one or more buildings within the zoning lot. <br />Zoning lot means a parcel of land occupied or used or intended for occupancy or use for a <br />purpose identified in article VI of this chapter and identified as such for the purposes of zero lot line <br />development. The parcel shall abut a public street and shall be of sufficient size to satisfy and meet <br />all dimensional regulations required by article VI of this chapter. The designated zoning lot may
