<br /> <br /> Page 23 <br />Premises, as used in article VI, division 5, subdivision II, of this chapter, means a parcel of land <br />with its appurtenances and buildings which, because of its unity of use, may be regarded as the <br />smallest conveyable unit of real estate. <br />Premises, as used in article VI of this chapter, means a lot or plot with required front, side and <br />rear yards for a dwelling or other use as allowed under this article. <br />Preserved open space means a tract of land with a conservation easement over it that is used for, <br />but not limited to, agriculture, natural habitat, walkways (sidewalks) and pathways or recreation. <br />Primary facade means any building facade directly fronting a public street, park or the river. <br />Corner units shall have at least two primary facades. <br />Principal use or structure means all uses or structures that are not accessory uses or structures. <br />Printing shop means a facility for the reproduction of written or graphic materials on a custom <br />order basis for individuals or businesses, including publishing, binding, and engraving. <br /> <br />Private recreational facility means a building, structure or open space designed as an accessory <br />recreational use to a permitted principal use. Private recreational facilities include such uses as <br />swimming pools and tennis courts and are not open to the general public and not operated for <br />profit. <br />Produce market means the offering for sale, directly to the consumer, of fresh agricultural <br />products, seasonal fruits, fresh flowers, arts and crafts items, and food and beverages (but not to <br />include second-hand goods). <br /> <br />Proof gallon means one liquid gallon of distilled spirits that is 50 percent alcohol at 60 degrees <br />Fahrenheit. <br />Property maintenance code means the current city code and its amendments, or the International <br />Property Maintenance Code and its amendments as promulgated by the International Code Council <br />and adopted by the city. <br />Protective covenants means contracts entered into between private parties which constitute a <br />restriction on the use of all or some of the private property within a subdivision for the benefit of <br />the property owners. <br />Public parks, playgrounds and open space or public parks means public land, playgrounds, and/or open <br />space available for recreational, educational, cultural, or aesthetic use, which may include recreational <br />features, including play structures and public shelters. Any area designated by the city as a park. <br /> <br />Public utility means persons supplying gas, electric, transportation, water, sewer, or land line <br />telephone service to the general public. For the purpose of article VI of this chapter, commercial <br />wireless telecommunication service facilities shall not be considered public utility uses, and are <br />defined separately. <br />Public waters means any waters as defined in Minn. Stats. § 103G.005, subds. 15, 15a. <br />Quadraminium means a four-family dwelling organized pursuant to Minn. Stats. ch. 515A art. 2 <br />(Minn. Stats. § 515A.2-101 et seq.) <br />Quidditch means a team sport in which players fly on broomsticks and goals are scored by <br />throwing a quaffle through any of three hoops fixed at either end of the pitch.
