<br />Hot water means hot water supplied to plumbing fixtures at a temperature of not less than 110
<br />degrees Fahrenheit.
<br />Hotel means any building or portion thereof where lodging isaccommodations are offered to
<br />transient guests for compensation and in which there are more than five sleeping rooms with no
<br />cooking facilities in individual dwelling units.
<br />
<br />Individual sewage treatment system means a sewage treatment system or part thereof, serving a
<br />dwelling or other establishment, or group thereof, which utilizes subsurface soil treatment and
<br />dispersal.
<br />Industrial use means the use of land or buildings for the production, manufacture, warehousing,
<br />storage, or transfer of goods, products, commodities, or other wholesale items.
<br />Institutional use means a place or facility which is designed for use as a place of worship, for
<br />public services, including education, for nonprofit educational use, and for health care facilities for
<br />principally inpatient care.
<br />Intensive vegetation clearing means the complete removal of trees or shrubs in a contiguous patch,
<br />strip, row, or block.
<br />Interim use means the temporary use of a property until a particular date, or until the occurrence
<br />of a particular event.
<br />Jail means a secure adult detention facility used to confine sentenced prisoners for a time not to
<br />exceed one full year per conviction, adult pre-trial and pre-sentenced detainees indefinitely, and
<br />juveniles up to limits prescribed by the state.
<br />Junkyard, see salvage yard. means land or buildings where products resulting from the wrecking of
<br />vehicles or other machinery are bought, sold, exchanged, stored, baled, cleaned, packed,
<br />disassembled or handled. The outdoor storage of two or more inoperative motor vehicles shall also
<br />be considered a junkyard.
<br />Kennel, commercial, means any premises where more than three animals over six months of
<br />age are boarded, trained or bred for compensation or are offered for sale, except for animals being
<br />raised as agricultural livestock, an animal hospital, a veterinary clinic or a pet shop.
<br />Kennel, commercial, means any premise where more than six domestic animal units, over the age
<br />of six months, are board, trained, or bred for compensation, except for animals being raised as
<br />agricultural animals, an animal hospital, a veterinary clinic, or a pet shop. Domestic animals 20
<br />pounds and over count as two animal units and domestic animals under 20 pounds count as one
<br />animal unit.
<br />Kennel, private, means any premises where more than three dogs or three cats over the age of six
<br />months are harbored or kept, except for a commercial kennel. Any premises of ten acres or more
<br />that are used to harbor or keep up to ten cats over the age of six months shall be excluded from this
<br />definition as long as all of the cats have been spayed or neutered.
