<br />Garage, private, means an accessory building for storage of self-propelled vehicles and tools and
<br />equipment maintained as incidental to a conforming use of the premises.
<br />Garage, public, means any premises except those defined as a private garage used for the storage
<br />or care of self-propelled vehicles or where any such vehicles are equipped for operation or repair or
<br />are kept for remuneration, hire, or sale.
<br />Garden center means a place of business where retail and wholesale products and produce are
<br />sold to the consumer. They may include greenhouses, import most of the items sold, and may
<br />include plants, nursery products and stock, potting soil, hardware, power equipment and machinery,
<br />hoes, rakes, shovels, and other garden and farm variety tools and utensils.
<br />
<br />Gasfitter means any person engaged in the business of installing, altering, repairing, testing, or
<br />extending any fuel tanks, power plants, gas or oil burners, gas or oil piping or gas appliance items or
<br />connections.
<br />General planning permit means a permit issued by the city land development staff in accordance
<br />with sections 30-671 et seq.
<br />Golf courses and country clubs means an area or course for playing golf, consisting of at least nine
<br />holes, excluding miniature golf, within which the playing area is not artificially illuminated.
<br />Clubhouse and shelters are accessory structures.
<br />Government facility means any facility, building, and structure for the purpose of providing
<br />governmental functions or services to the general public. Uses are intended to include city offices,
<br />county offices, courthouses, libraries, municipal utilities, post offices, public works, waste handling
<br />or processing, fairgrounds (on parcels 5 acres or larger), and jail cells operated exclusively in
<br />conjunction with and incidental to Sherburne County courtroom functions.
<br />Governmental buildings and facilities means any building, structure, or facility for the purpose of a
<br />facility serving certain governmental functions. These uses are intended to include uses that are
<br />supportive of governmental functions such as public works facilities, correctional facilities, jails, and
<br />waste handling or processing facilities. These uses are intended to be distinguished from
<br />governmental offices and essential services.
<br />Governmental offices mean any facility, building, and structure for the purpose of providing
<br />governmental services to the general public. Uses intended are generally compatible with office and
<br />residential uses and include city offices, county offices, courthouses, jail cells operated exclusively in
<br />conjunction with and incidental to Sherburne County courtroom functions, libraries, and post
<br />offices. These uses are intended for the direct provision of governmental services to the public as
<br />distinguished from governmental buildings and facilities.
<br />Gravel Mining means a place where stone, sand, gravel, or minerals are extracted.
<br />Gross acres means the total area acreage of a parcel of land including wetlands, hydric soils, steep
<br />slopes, internal streets, and dedicated easements.
<br />Ground cover means plants which are used for accents and/or soil stabilization and are typically
<br />24 inches or less in height.
<br />Group home resident means a person residing in a group home for the purpose of receiving
<br />rehabilitation, treatment, or special care.
