In addition, vegetation and breeding bird surveys are recommended to monitor <br />the site for plant and bird diversity, the measure of which would indicate whether the <br />management activities are successful and wildlife habitat is improving. <br />The estimated cost for removing non-native species is $285,030. Conversion of the farm <br />field to native prairie and savanna will cost an estimated $259,800. These are the biggest <br />priorities and should be undertaken as soon as possible. A comprehensive restoration <br />process would take approximately five years at an estimated cost of $568,830 if all <br />activities are undertaken and contracted.
