Houlton Conservation Area Regulations, including Hunting <br />This conservation area was acquired with furWing provided by the Minnesota Outdoor Heritage <br />Legacy Fund and is open to the public for hunting and fishing during the regular open seasons, <br />as designated by the State of Minnesota and in accordance with the current state Hunting and <br />Trapping Regulations and Elk River City Ordinances. <br />Principle hunting regulations for use of this area are listed below. Furtherjnformation is <br />-- <br />available by calling the Elk River Park and Recreation Departm nt at (763) 635-1150.\ <br />• Archery hunting only, except for legal shotgun for hunting waterfowl in season, in <br />"Firearms Waterfowl Hunting Area". See map for location. <br />• This conservation area is surrounded by private residential property and public <br />_waterw_ays there rer-i�'Caution when discharging all firearms -an -d bows. <br />r ---Under no circumstance shalhprojectiles fall outside of the designated conservation area, <br />boundary. F& bw� <br />__ • When the designate parkin lot is full (approximately 12 vehicles), the huntingcapacity <br />of the Conservation Area is full and no further access is allowed. The parking lot <br />capacity determines the number of hunters that are allowed to hunt. <br />• No dogs allowed, except for retrievers used by waterfowl hunters in season for the express <br />purpose of retrieving downed game. All retrievers must be on a leash when traveling to and <br />from the "Firearms Waterfowl Hunting Area". <br />• No horses, ATVs, snowmobiles and other unauthorized motorized vehicles are allowed. <br />• No camping or unpermitted fires. <br />• No target or indiscriminant shooting. <br />• No pistols, rifles or muzzle loaders allowed. <br />• Tre� 'St nd, boats, decoys, and other equipment must be removed daily. <br />juro <br />r\ Nq <br />
