Motion carried 6-0. <br /> 5.2 Park Dedication for Final Plat for Parkview Second Addition <br /> Mr. Benoit shared his staff report. <br /> Moved by Commissioner Kallemeyn and seconded by Commissioner Ahlness to <br /> recommend to City Council to accept park dedication for the plat of Parkview <br /> Second Addition to be paid for one dwelling unit at the rate applicable when <br /> subdivision is released for recording. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> 6. Discussion Items <br /> 6.1 Skate Park Update <br /> Mr. Benoit presented his staff report. Stating that the final design has been delayed due to <br /> the updated Orono Park Master Plan. <br /> Chris,Elk River resident shared that the Skate Park group would like to see the park be <br /> more of a priority. Kids are on the streets,back alleys and sidewalks and shunned by the <br /> community. <br /> Jessica Maetzig, ILT2F Elk River business owner stated she would like to host skate • <br /> competitions and would like to push the urgency to get this project done. <br /> 6.2 Barrington Park Parking Issue <br /> Mr. Hecker presented his staff report. <br /> 6.3 Oak Knoll Lights <br /> Mr. Hecker presented his staff report. <br /> Dave Williams,Marketing Director of Youth Football Association shared that the Football <br /> Board will offer$7,000 a year for 9 years at a total of$63,000. <br /> Steve Webber,President of Youth Lacrosse Board stated the Lacrosse Board is willing to <br /> take on the financing but will need the city's assistance to get the loan as they do not own <br /> the land. <br /> 7. Parks and Recreation Director Update <br /> Mr. Hecker presented his staff report and sharing that there will be a ribbon cutting <br /> ceremony at Barrington Park in September. <br /> NATIME <br />
